Travel to Laax-Flims-Falera Switzerland

Route
Flims can be reached via the German-Austrian border at Bregenz. Weekends and holidays can be busy at the border crossing Pfändertunnel. Remember to buy a vignette, as required for the Austrian motorway (about 9 euros for 10 days). If you travel via Bregenz you should cross the border at Hohenems to the Swiss motorway E43. The border controls sometimes cause a bit of a delay. Do not forget to buy a vignette for the Swiss Autobahn (only available per year: CHF40).

Flims-Laax-Falera is also accessible via Basel via the relatively quiet A5 in Germany. Although during the holidays the A5 also gets busier. An alternative is the nearby border at Weil am Rhein. Do not forget to buy a vignette for the Swiss Autobahn (only available per year: CHF40). If you’re driving from Basel you go via Zurich. Since the completion of the ring road there is much less congestion, but certainly holidays, weekends and rush hour can be busy around Zurich.
